Warranty Policy

Maison Mare is both the manufacturer and seller of our fine jewellery. If you have concerns about the quality or workmanship of your piece, please contact us so we can assess the issue and arrange an appropriate remedy.

Your consumer guarantees

Your jewellery is protected by the consumer guarantees under Australian Consumer Law, including guarantees relating to acceptable quality, matching its description and fitness for any disclosed purpose.

These rights apply automatically. Their duration depends on factors such as the nature and price of the jewellery and how long it could reasonably be expected to last.

This policy explains our assessment and repair process. It does not replace or limit your statutory rights or impose a fixed expiry date on them.

Manufacturing faults

If you believe your jewellery has a manufacturing fault, please email info@maisonmare.com.au as soon as reasonably possible after discovering it.

Include your order number or other proof of purchase, a description of the issue and photographs where possible.

Our Customer Care team will provide instructions for returning your jewellery for assessment.

Assessment and remedies

If a manufacturing fault is confirmed, we will provide an appropriate remedy at no cost, in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.

A repair may be appropriate for a minor fault. For a major failure, you may choose a refund or replacement. Your rights are not limited to receiving a repair.

Where a covered fault is confirmed, we will cover reasonable return shipping costs and the cost of the remedy.

Damage and paid repairs

Damage caused by misuse, accidental damage or improper care may not qualify for a free remedy. We will assess each request individually and explain our findings.

Where a paid repair is available, we will provide details of the proposed work and costs for your approval before proceeding.

Natural pearl characteristics

South Sea pearls naturally vary in colour, shape, lustre and surface characteristics. These differences do not necessarily indicate a manufacturing fault.

However, your jewellery must still match its description and meet applicable consumer guarantees.
